I never thought I would say this but, Le Pen (French neo-fascist) is correct. He should be able to say what ever he wants about the NAZI occupation of France, regardless how reprehensible. Here's the problem:
"Anti-racism laws in France make denying the Holocaust a crime, punishable by either fines or prison - although it remains unclear whether Mr Le Pen could be prosecuted under such legislation on the basis of these remarks."
These laws are idiotic. Pushing hate speach, or whatever you want to call it, under the rug only denies the problem. Let it out in the open and exose it for what it is. The same should be said for the Belling affair in Milwaukee.
Here's the story on Le Pen and what he said.

this is an interesting discourse on Souljas and Thugs... sure, we arent the most violent country in the world, cuz colombia and a few e. european, latin american and african countries got us beat there...but damn....over 800 homicides in LA one year..! some scary shit..
I agree. It's one thing for ordinary citizens to take some bricks and baseball bats (ala Woody Allen) down to the Nazi rally; it's quite another for the cops to bust their heads.
Another thing to remember about hate speech laws is that, like all laws, they are often used as tools by the powerful against the powerless. Pretty soon you'll find them used against homosexuals for being "anti-hetero," and against black people for being "anti-white," and against socialists for being "anti-market." I'm sure they'll find some way to apply these kinds of laws to so-called "eco-terrorists" and pretty soon they'll be busting anti-war protesters for "anti-Iraqi" hate speech. But outlawing speech against pizza is Okay -- I like pizza!
