Merry Christmas

"Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll go to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money!"

"....[Most] religions of the world of the world offer nothing better than an uncertain and nebulous happiness in the life AFTER death...'put your faith in god and hope for the best'. ...Death no more solves your spiritual problem than night solves your ecconomic problem. If you are poor you do not expect that on going to bed your eccomic problems will be automatically solved the next day.....If you are poor ecomonmically you do not expect to get rich overnight [except on TV] and if you are poor spiritually, bound by illusions and limitations of all kinds, you cannot expect to become Enlightened in the vague and unending life which is proposed to follow death."(I.K. Taimni, The Science of Yoga, 1961) This vague notion of life after death is responsible for almost all the Fundamentalism around now, Christian and Islamic. If it were not for this insideous concept we would address the more real eccomomic and social problems in the real world.
