The NY Times sat on the domestic spying story for over a year. Why come out with the story now? Even though they did the President still took them on. I guess he thinks that he should be able to spy on anyone, without a warrant, which is illegal by the way, and the media should sit on it. A strange view of constitutional democracy and freedom of speech/press.
Spying on "domestic enemies" re Quakers, is nothing new by the way.
