Corporate Whore

Once again the Red and the Black is whoring for the BBC. With a public sector allocated laptop I listen whenever I like to radio adaptations of literary classics, Chinese House music, a documentary on Uzbek oil revenues or play video games. Radio 1 is a favorite of late. And all on the dime of some Tory fox hunter! One of socialism's greatest legacies.

Good stuff here -- clear practical benefits. No utopian future but a piece of utopia now. I saw Billy Bragg one time offer his view of American socialism -- basically libraries open 20 hours a week (with a fee!) and carpool lanes (with only two people per car!). Here's to a bit more of the red utopia tomorrow. Black too! But more red than black!

Hey they played Akron/Family on the Current today. I didn't hear it, but the announcer mentioned it from a couple songs earlier. He called the band "indescribable" I think.
